I've washed them twice with laundry detergent, and now three times with Dish soap.. And the scent is still kinda there, I don't want to put them in the dryer yet either.. Scared it might ketch fire..

Any ideas of how to get it out?

  1. you might want to buy a new pair of jeans. oil is wicked hard to get out of anything, so plan on buying new ones. or try spot cleaning. works for me on almost anything!

  2. ~~Depends on they type of oil. If it's dark machine type oil then get Oil Eaters (available at any store carrying auto supplies). Spray directly on the stain, give it 10-20 minutes then launder.

If it's more of a cooking or just greasy oil, then rub body powder (any kind) into the stain and deep in the material. Leave on at least an hour. Brush off, sometimes it comes right out, sometimes you have to launder again to get it out.~~

  3. I've never used it for this, but WD-40 takes a lot of stuff out and it's a light enough oil that detergent usually gets rid of it the first time. You might test it on a rag first tho.

  4. try baby powder n the spot i heard it really works. put it for a couple days though
