How do you get out of a Limited Liability Company? Someone please tell me!?

I live in South Carolina and my boyfriends dad owns his own company and it is a Limited Liability Company. Does anyone know how he can get out of the Limited Liability Company?

  1. He can simply withdraw from the LLC. The operating agreement should give the specifics of how that is to be done, but the SC code states in Section 33-44-601:

    A member is dissociated from a limited liability company upon the occurrence of any of the following events:

    (1) the company's having notice of the member's express will to withdraw upon the date of notice or on a later date specified by the member;
