with you because of their own very deep problems etc..playing mind games etc. Ignoring you when you were in need.

I am still hurting a lot and not feeling like the jovial me I was once before

Should I give time or just move on ? and just treat the person as though they were no friends in the first place.

Friends are supposed to help no ? and be there when you really needed to,

  1. ah Isabelle,

I know that horrible feeling very well.  I have been abandoned or betrayed so many times in my life by people that I cared about, it's not even funny.  I think it must be part of my karma - south node in the 11th house.  I've come to almost expect it so I have put up my guard emotionally - not too many people I get close to.

Anyway, yes, I have noticed the jovial Isabelle that I knew is gone - I hope temporarily.  Give it time, girl; and try to forgive and move on.

Lower your expectations of people and maybe you won't get so hurt - it has worked for me.

  2. If this friend has very deep problems and is manipulative, you should be relieved that they cut you off. They have nothing to offer as a friend, and you will only be used and abused by them. I would look at it as a gift in disguise and just move on.

  3. Hi,sounds like u'r having a bad day!i'm sorry i can't make it better!some people are just mean.your right friends are suspose to be there for each other.my older bro. always says we live with our friends and are with your friends more than u'r with family that u'r friends are u'r family.but some just can be a jack a%% like him. meaning me.(he's joking ) .but life goes on don't let this holed you back.the pain will go away i promise.if they are a true friend they will realize they messed up and talk to you about this.Pert up tomorrow is always a new day.Make it happy only you can do this! i wish u many happy days ahead!Rusty says peace be with u always!

  4. Tough one!

Sometimes it is necessary to let go! No matter how painful and difficult it may be! I agree that a true friend should be true as they can! If you feel this friend was not in fact as true as you may have hoped then yes, I feel you should let them go...be there for them if you like but know and remember what kind of friend they were to you! These types of people are usually selfish and willing to take advantage of their 'friends' when it suits them! No, not exactly a good friend is it?! But that doesn't mean that you still can't be their friend...just be cautious and distance yourself from them....stand up for yourself and let them know that their conduct as a friend is not really 100 percent if you think this may be necessary....If the loss or realization to you is difficult and causes you emotional pain then I would advise that you let them go their own way! This will probably benefit you more in the long run! Try to focus your energy on the friends that are true to you! Don't let others drag you down and make you feel badly because of their mistakes and poor judgement! If you like, you could always see where these choices take them,...maybe down a road or direction that will ultimately not work out for them...from this they may learn a lesson or two and realise their mistakes and want to make amends with you later on...I never try to completely give up hope on people I care about - But I won't let them take me down with them when they make poor choices or decisions! And I usually let them know it (in a nice and reasonable manner)!

  5. Yes, friends are supposed to help, but you cannot come emotionally unglued every time something or someone fails to achieve the ideal standard. That's just life. In this situation there really isn't a need for any formal action of any kind. Be cordial when time allows you to, and be distant when the situation or their responses dictate. In the meantime, establish other friendships that fill the void left by this other wandering soul. It will all work out in time. Have a nice day.

  6. FRIEND (real friend) is someone that really cares how you feel. Someone that do everything for you, more than their own. A true friend will die for you if it need be.

A friend (real friend) will not hide anything for you. He shares his thoughts, his food, his pain, laughter and sorrows. He is always be the first one to be there when you need something.

Anyone that cannot meet this criteria are no friends. Always keep in mind that no matter how hard life is, there's always hope.

Edit: Beyond the darkest cloud, the sun is still shining. Cheers...
