How do you get over depression ?

I keep on feeling depressed ........

I always guilty and feel I'm not worthy .

I am also suffering from OCD.........

It's always making my life miserable ......

How do I get over it ?

It's a total disturbing problem ....

How do I overcome my depression?

  1. The best way is to be positive spirited ....


  2. Go to mental health facility.  See Doctor, tell him to give you anti depressant medication like Zoloft, and perhaps an anti-psychotic drug like Seroquel.

  3. You just put yourself together.

    You try to stop making big deals out of small things. You try to start accepting or even liking who you are and what you do.

    You start appreciating the attention you get instead of wanting more and more, subconsciously or not.

    Those are the best ways to get over depression.

    and some made it sound so easy

    its really not easy at all

    you can't just wake up one morning and be happy

    it doesn't work like that

    i suggest you see a professional

    i dealt with it myself on my own terms

    but i can't explain that

    you'd have to figure out how to get over it yourself with only yourself

    so i suggest a phyciatrist


  5. First, tell someone now! Let it all out- cry like a baby and talk about it to someone you trust. Then, talk to either your primary care physician or see a psychiatrist who could prescribe you medication and give you therapy. Medication and therapy as a combined treatment is the most successful. You can get through this. Just face it head-on.

    I've been a nurse for 26 years, and yes, I've had bouts of depression.  I thought I'd never get out of my first round of depression, but I was lucky:  the therapist pretty much hit me upside the head with the truth.

    I learned when I start to feel depressed I stop what I'm doing and go down to the local homeless shelter and I start serving meals  or sorting out clothing by sizes.  I'll watch some of the kids so their parents can go look for work.  I'll spend time tutoring those kids who don't have schools to go to because they don't have addresses.

    then I go home to my comfortable house,  make a nice dinner,  call my son or husband (if he's not home) to tell them I'm safe, and thank G=d I'm so blessed.

    I avoid TV and the papers.  I stop people who are whining and moaning and groaning and explain I don't want to listen to anyone who

    s a downer.. I practice Qi Gong and love life with all my heart,.

    Funny thing....when I do all this I'm not depressed in the slightest.

    Perhaps you need to stop focusing on the little things and look up and out at the big picture.  There is excellent medication for OCD and any decent therapist can help.  You say you are guilty - of what?  Have you killed anyone?  Stolen food from a hungry man?  Struck a helpless child?  On a scale of 1 to 10 just how guilty are you?  

    You are focused on YOU and that is why life is so limited and miserable.  It is because when there is only ONE person in your life it tends to be a sad, boring existence. You live in a negative frame of mind and are attracting negative vibes into your life.   You need to  quit believing that everything revolves around YOU, that everyone is spending all their time thinking about YOU, that the only thing that matters is what YOU do.  WRONG.

    You need to start expnding your vision to include other people.  I think once you stop looking at YOU and start doing for others you will find your depression lifting and your OCD fading.

    Good luck!  You deserve it.  You don't need to kick yourself or beat yourself up anymore.  Give yourself a hug and then get the h**l out into the world and have some FUN!

    Try to be more positive spirited !

    Being positive and imagine yourself as a normal and good person !

    It really helps ! Don't think you're unlucky or depressed ....

    It adds fuel to the fire . If you imagine yourself as a good person ... you will automatically become one !

    About the OCD, It's just the same .... Overcome your OCD looking at the bright side of it !

    Just think of it like it never happened .....

    If it still bothers you look at all the other famous people who had these things too! like Justin Timberlake and many more ......

    And always put on a smile and believe that life's an awsome journey !

  9. It sounds like you need to see someone from the medical profession rather than ask for help from a talk forum. Go and make an appointment with your doctor and I hope you feel better soon

  10.        Just think that you have to end your depression and it's time to be happy living life. Do things that you really like and you're having fun... Don't think you're miserable coz that will really make you a miserable soul... Just look on the other side of life. You can stick with the people you really trust.   11. every body is worthy even though they haven't got the capacity to help others........if you feel like you are depress it's normal because you will have something to learn and always don't give up because the world is full of up's and down's but you should always raise you head up

  12. I agree with u that is is a big problm u are facing, but if u are suffering from ocd, then consult a doctor.

    about depression, it is a common thing so dont worry and dont thing more about it. u will be fine. come out from ur bad past, if any.

    Spend ur time more with ur friends. Dont feel guilty regarding anything, it will increase ur problem. I think u are very sensitive and care very much of others. dont be very much sensitive, In this world, many things happends which is not in our hand. so dont think very much.

Wake up tomorrow with a different attitude.  Tell yourself that you are not going to wake up and start your day by telling yourself how depressed you are.  Try to remain positive, this worked for me, I am bi-polar and i had slipped into a serious depression a few years ago and that mind set worked for me.  I hope this helped.

  14. get used to it.if you are not helping yourself,nobody does do that for you.I know the feeling,i'm depressed too and I try to get up by myself.it's easy to give advices,but is so hard to be in somebody elses skin
