How do you get over the fear of competing bars at gymnastics meets?

when i do compete they feel super slippery and like I'm going to peel off and i get really scared.

  1. usually, i think about my skills when i  am doing them. it also helps to be tight. And if you are really nervous, then just say ok, only____ more skills to go


  2. You just need to realize, you are doing gymnastics because you love it. Just because you are at a competition, doesn't mean you have to be scared. Sure, it is natural to be nervous. But, just to what you do in practice, you'll do fine! :)


  3. just use chalk


  4. ask the coach before you get on if he are she can go put chalk on them so you will have extra chalk some on your hands and some on you bars
