I always tell myself I can't do something. I don't know why I've always been really hard on myself. I'm scared of failing so I don't try anything new. I scared I'm going to let my family down. I wanna make them happy and proud of me. I'm a huge people pleaser. I want to be a 911 operator but scared I can't do it. Please don't be mean.

  1. You are a strong person, and you can do anything you want, my dear. Believe in yourself and you can accomplish your dreams!

  2. This is an awesome question and I'm glad I get to answer this...even though I may not be successful in getting my point across.  What I want you to understand is that the more you succeed in life without failures the less your successes mean to you or anyone else.  Let's take your life's ambition to be a 911 operator, for instance.  Did you know that most of what they do comes from a script?  Much the same as a telephone operator...except of course, the 911 op won't try to sell you long distance.  Anyway, they've got you set up so that you almost can't fail.  I kind of like to ride a little closer to the edge in what I do...I'm not one for scripts, to be more accurate.

So I rambled a little...so what?  Anyway, I used to be the same way...mostly because my dad (who was my sole custodian while I was growing up) had a very bad opinion of people who were emotional, overweight and frequently didn't win (and I don't mean complete a task...I mean win first place).  Naturally, I became an over-achiever and this burned me out...to a crisp.  I bounced from job to job after dropping out of not just one college...but TWO!  I finally ended up joining the Army, who ended up booting me out because I was too heavy and the list goes on and on.  So all that stuff aside, I'm 32 years old now, with two kids, a pretty decent physique, a work of fiction in progress and I'm going to be getting married to a really great woman in just two short months.

In the end...everything tends to work out the way it should...unless you plan to be unsuccessful.  Learning from your failures is the key to eventual success in whatever you do.  That's about all I've got...except of course...if you suck at something...keep doing it until you don't suck so much!  Good luck...you probably don't need it because you're likely to succeed in whatever you do.  But just remember the candle that burns twice as bright only lasts half as long.

  3. It comes with success and self confidence. You have to realize all of the success you see has only been possible with a huge amount of failure. That is what trial and error is all about. Look at how many times Babe Ruth struck out to hit all of those home runs. Look at anybody that you see as a success and then look deeper to see the hard work it took and the amount of failures they experienced. You soon realize the only way to get anywhere is by persaverance and hard work, not taking no for an answer and by not giving up before giving yourself a chance.

  4. Try to shift your thinking and reverse it.  This is the law of the universe, what you think about you will attract.  If you think you cannot, then you cannot, if you think you can, then you can.  The more you tell yourself you cant do something, then of course , by the law of universe, you have invited that energy to manifest.

Why do you even fear of failing when you havent even tried. And when you are trying, why do you persuade yourself you are going to fail?  The of course you will fail.

  5. It's probably because of your age =[

You just need a lil boost of your confidence then ur good to go

    And everyone learns from failing

And it's always good to try something new =]
