  1. haha, thats nothing.. I went to a school w/ 50 kids K-12.. there was 3 graduateing seniors including me! I'd say, just drive somewhere big, like the nearist city and chill there.. You'll get over it soon enough... Or take a vacation! Just because you know everybody isn't necessarily a bad thing. Seriously a good thing, now u totally have connections, when u want a job n stuff.. Remember, its not what you know, its who u know! I live in a small town too, and when it annoys me I just get away, to the big city and go shopping.. yay!

    Have fun!

  2. the song by journey ' dont stop believin ' springs to mind, i relate to what you mean though

  3. That reminds me of an "older" song called, "Harper Valley PTA" by Bobby Gentry (a female singer). Try and find the song and have a laugh. Just learn to grow where you're planted until you can "uproot" yourself.

  4. Well, I don't know why this would bother you so much, unless you have something to hide, or don't like the people in your town.

I live in a small community, have spent most of my life in the same county in two towns. Yes, I do know the majority of the people in the weekly papers, there isn't usually much exciting stuff in the paper, its more likely photos of kids playing at the county fair or park or the latest high school basketball team. The people do know you, watch out for you, and care about each other.

When I was a teen, I couldn't WAIT to get to the big city!  I longed for traffic lights, being "unknown", and having lots of options for what to do with my free time. The thought of all the shopping, the theaters, the dance clubs, the different types of people, making my own name for myself, (not being asked "Which Kenny do you belong to?")  Within about a year, I had enough and started migrating to smaller and smaller towns, until I was back where I started. I love living here.

It can be a little boring, but there is always travel, and that gives us the culture we seek. Our friends and family who live in big cities now are usually very competitive, overstressed, over extended moneywise so they have to work two or three jobs, don't have much free time, and when they want to feel at home, they come back here. We live a more modest, slower paced life, and love it.

  5. I moved to The Big City when I was 21. I was going nuts in my small town until then. I couldn't wait to go away to college! (I had to do my first few years at the local branch of the state university.) I just kept my mind focused on my ultimate goal and learned as much as I could about the city I was moving to. I also went down there sometimes for the day to go shopping and eat at places we didn't have in our little hick town.

Ironically, through a series of unusual events, I am now living in a town even smaller than the one I grew up in! I still would move back to the big city in a heartbeat though if I could. I get homesick every time I go down there for something.

  6. I never got over it. It drove me RIGHT OUT OF TOWN, over the brink. lol

Seriously, I finally calmed down on the ride outta dodge.

  7. Same thing happened to me.

The only answer I have is to get over it.

There are kids in other countries who live in houses made of mud and cow dung. And fight for food. You are being spoiled right.

  8. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm going through the EXACT SAME THING, and I'm 36!!!!!!

What I'd strongly recommend is you get on an online college, or go to college in a bigger area.  That way, you get used to a bigger city, you get the training you need to succeed in your desired field, and once you get hired, you can ENJOY life in civilization......

Don't freak out.  Everything has its reasons.  You just need to get a good, solid plan going and create alternatives - the first phases of a plan rarely work.  Try a newspaper article on fainting goats.  If you read that one, you live near me, and I'll move us both to Denver.  Good luck.

  9. idk sorry
