How do you get past the pokemon blocking the way in fire red???

You can't get past it until after you get the Silph Scope in Celedon City, and clear the Pokemon Tower in Lavender Town. To get to Lavender town, you must go through Rock Tunnel, east of Cerulean. Then you make your way through Celedon, get to the game corner, and talk to the rocket near the poster. He'll battle you.

Then you check out the poster. Take the stairs that appear, and clear the upcomming hideout. After you beat the boss, you'll get the silph scope.

Head back to Lavender Town and you will now be able to see all the ghosts for what they are. Make your way to the top of the tower to meet Mr. Fuji. You will escort him out of the Tower and back to his home.

He'll reward you with the pokeflute. Next time you see the snorlax, the fat one, examine him. You will be prompted to play the flute. Do so and battle him. Catch it or make it faint, either way, it will be gone.

As you heard, its Snorlax. now i dun wanna make you read a long text like the one above me, so here it goes: from the city with the water gym(Cerulean),

head east,through the way you need cut, get to lavender town through a cave, from lavender go west, through the underground, get to celadon.

in the 'Casino',( a wired  orange building) talk to the poster of team rocket ( right after you'll beat the rocket grunt), go to the stairs that will show up, beat all team rocket there.

get the silph  scope,(also you can beat celadon's gym -grass type).

head back to lavender, kick all the trainers untill the top of the pokemon tower.

after you will talk to an old man there, he will go away.

go to one of the houses there,(the big one)

he will be there. talk to him and he will give you the flute. use to flute to wake up snorlax..
