How do you get people to buy stuff from your lemonade stand?

Make good, fresh lemonade from real lemons and sugar - nothing else! We used to bring our cat with us, and offered "free pet the cat with lemonade purchase" Worked like a charm, kids love a cute animal!

Bring a kitty or a puppy, or other cute animal like a guinea pig, people will come over to fawn over the cute little animal, then you'll have them right where you want them - in front of your delicious lemonade!

I do not know where your stand is located, or how big your stand is; but I would make up at least 6 signs that you can use each time you are out there. Put one sign two blocks away, then one block away. On the next block after your stand is passed put out another sign saying something like OOPS!!  You JUST PAST the most THIRST QUENCHING  LEMONADE stand. Oh, and do not forget to do the same thing on the other side of the road. Any where else just incoporate the OOPS sign to your location. Keep it clean, simple and easy to read. Also you might try adding flavours to your lemonade. People love choices. Maybe offering a healthier addition to your menu such as useing 'splenda' instead of sugar.

Put up colorful signs on each corner and make sure you're open when traffic is busy.

advertising! locations! regular business stuff... put up lots of signs and stay in a popular spot (say, a park or if u live on a somewhat busy street - for example, not in your backyard where nobody but you goes and not somewhere like a freeway where people are driving so quick they dont notice you and dont want to stop...) sometimes offering to give whatever percentage (half) to charity or after a big natural disaster saying you'll give a part of the money to help victims makes people want to help the victims and they might as well get a glass of lemonade... it sometimes helps... make sure you have good lemonade! nobody will come for bad lemonade!!!
