How do you get permanent marker of of gym shirt?

I go to rms and I need to change the name on my gym shirt. The material that is on the part of the shirt you write on is not cloth. I have absolutly no idea what it is. I just know that it is put there to make it easier to write on. I wrote my name in permanent marker, but now I need to change it. Please Help!

its marking tape, spray it with WD-40 it will remove ink,

then wash it
