How do you get pets on sims 2?

On sims 2 for the comp do u have to download the expansion pack to get pets? or is there a cheat ? and wat will happen if u abuse ur sims 2 game?

you have to get the sims 2 pets expansion pack, but you can get an aquarium without the expansion pack, but you cant do anything but feed them, and only if you get the small pack.

buying the expansion is definatly worth it, because there arent JUST pet stuff in the expansion :)

You need the expansion pack...you can buy it anywhere that sells computer games

And I don't understand what you mean by Abuse your Sims 2 game...if I did I would answer it...sorry -_-

you need the 'Pets' expansion pack of the sims 2

you need to buy the sims2 pets game & then when you go to create a family mode. theres a little sign where you click to create a pet

Ya Barkers pretty much right.  But you could also use your home phone at your house on sims ( you have to have sims 2 pets) call up the adoption people.  I think they ask you on the phone if you want a cat or a dog. Then you choose the one you want out of the ones they show. And they bring it over :)!
