How do you get pictures from a phone to be on an aim profile?

ok first of i have a version phone and i liked some of the pictures i had on it so i decided i wanted to add these pictures to my AIM profile. i emailed ten of the pictures to my email address. thenn i right clicked on all of the pictures and saved them under my pictures. as i tried to add the photos from my phone on it said "You are allowed to upload image files only. Please try again." then i figured out my photo was said "bmp" instead of "jpg" how do i change it help??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your doing everything right but one thing when you go to save it to your computer it will have the file name you want it saved as and the file type you wish to save it as select JPEG and your problem will be solved
