How do you get points & get to higher levels?

to get to a higher level you must answer a  lot of questions first and try not to ask too much questions like you did now but if its an urgent question you should ask it good luck !!

Here is a list of what point are needed for each level

Level 1 >    1-249

Level 2 >   250-999

Level 3 >   1,000-2,499

Level 4 >   2,500-4,999

Level 5 >   5,000-9,999

Level 6 >   10,000-24,999

Level 7 >   25,000+

Here is how you earn point.

Answering a question + 2 points.

Choosing best answer for your question + 3 points.

Voting best answer + 1 point.

Being picked as best answer + 10 points plus 1 point for every thumbs up to a maximum of 50.

Logging in to yahoo answers each day + 1 point.

Here is how you loose points.

Ask a question - 5 points.

Receiving a violation - 10 points.

Deleting a answer - 2 points.

You answer questions for points.  There are many other ways to get points, and even lose points.  On the earlier levels, since you lose 5 points when asking a question, it's best to answer more and ask less.  You can get Best Answer points by having  your answer chosen as best, so I feel it's best to choose questions that required a little thought and knowledge to answer, which gives you a better chance of getting your Answer chosen as Best Answer, which gets you 10 points, plus any thumbs up (up to 50) your answer may have received.  So answer your daily limit if you can, and have fun!!  Be sure to read the Community Guidelines too.
