how do you get pokemon like crocnaw on pokemon diamond if you cant migrate from silver or gold

If you have 2 gameboy advances and a usb cable for them. Next you need pokemon gold or silver and leafgreen or firered series. If you have then trade crocnaw or totodile from gold or silver to leafgreen or firered. once you have that on leafgreen put leafgreen or firered into the GBA slot on the DS and you can migrate crocnaw to diamond. You can also start again on gold or silver and get chickorita and then cyndaquile.
