How do you get pokemon to obey you ?

well i just traded my infernape for an abamasnow and abamasnow doesnt obey me. that was a bad trade. but if i select his attack quickly, he obeys me a little bit more, but always he doesnt. i miss infernape=:(

Was the Abomasnow you received in the trade a higher level than Infernape? How many Gym badges have you got? Because if you don't have the Gym badges required to control up to a certain level, the Pokemon that you have that are over that certain level will not obey you. Try to get a few more Gym badges, also Pokemon received in trades need some time to get used to their new trainer, so give it time.
