How do you get press stories posted on newspaper websites?

how do you get your press stories printed on the main newspaper or media websites? is there an email list for all these websites? where do they choose their stories from? it doesnt have to print in an actual newspaper but just get posted as a story on their sites? any help would be awesome...

Short answer -- you don't.

The newspaper use their own staff or their own wire services to come up with the stories on their Web sites. They wouldn't take a story from an outside source and simply post it without some sort of editorial control. You could get sued easily, for starters.
