Okay, so I have this cat that when he gets mad, he finds something, a towel or clothes, and proceeds to pee on them. He has been even known to pull these items down when they are hanging up.

What is the best way to get the items smelling clean and fresh again? I'm open to many different products and practices...I live in Australia if it makes a difference.

Thanks a million!

  1. Get your cat fixed. They also make animal  pee neutralizers.

  2. White vinegar will neutralize cat urine, you can pour it directly onto the stained/odor then wash as normal.=)

  3. You can also put a can of coke in the wash. Coke will remove odors and leave the wash smelling fresh.

  4. my cat puked on a jacket of mine. I washed it and all the clothes in that load smelled like cat vomit. it was gross. I took everything and washed it again in cold water with a little bit of chlorine bleach. I put the bleach in the water and stirred it around and then added the clothes. nothing faded because of the cold water, and the smell came completely out. good luck

  5. I don't know if this is available in Australia but in America there is a laundry detergent for hunters.  It is called Sport Wash.  It is intended to remove all of the human scent from hunters clothing. I buy it at Wal Mart in the sporting good section.

I used it on a blanket where my cat peed and it worked great.

Here is a  link with more info about it

  6. add a cup of lemon juice to the wash

white vinegar sometimes works but lemon juice really kills odors and leaves a fresh smell
