If your fever is over 103, call your doctor asap.  Otherwise, take aspirin as directed, drink lots of fluids, and rest.

You don't need to get rid of the fever, it will go when you get over your illness.  Fever can help you get over an illness.  What do you have?

Try some aspirin, of course and rubbing alcohol will help cool you down.
