  1. Flush with baking soda and when you dispose of things, let the water run and let the machine run for about 30 seconds after everything is gone, then shut off machine and continue to flush with water for another 30 seconds or so.  This will help prevent smells. The key is to use plenty of water with those things.

  2. I try running the disposal with hot water and pouring bleach down it...the smell disappears and stays fresh for weeks....

  3. Clean your Garbage Disposal with ice throw in a handful of ice cubes and turn on the garbage disposal

Also toss a handful of Baking Soda into the disposal and run a very small amount of hot water into disposal while unit is on

One cup of White Vinegar poured into disposal and left for one to two hours then boiling hot water poured down will clean and freshen your disposal Good Luck !

  4. Baking soda.

  5. I use pine sol

  6. I would dump a cup of baking soda in the disposal. Then dump in a cup of distilled white vinegar. Let sit for 1/2 hour then rinse with hot water.

  7. just pour bleach and soap, have the water running and disposal running, that should take care of it.
