I've tried aloe vera and it didn't work very well. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

  1. Wear sunblock with a high SPF (45 + ideally) and reapply it frequently throughout the day. Wear a hat and cover up sunburned areas with clothing if possible while you are out in the sun. Stay well hydrated by drinking plenty of water.

  2. time

  3. You can't get rid of a sunburn. You have to wait until it goes away on it's own. But you can use Aloe to soothe it, you can also put cold milk on it if it's really bad, and vinegar. I would suggest using a washcloth and dipping it in the milk or vinegar and laying it on the burn. They help soothe the pain as well. Aloe will also help keep your skin moisturized with the burn. I hope it feels better!

  4. aloe vera doesn't get rid of it, it just soothes it.  You just have to wait until it fades on its own.  Aloe vera should help with the pain.

  5. Time is the only way to get "rid" of a sunburn, but for now vinegar or aloe vera will take the sting out, also damp tea bags. To help reduce the chance of skin cancer later I use olive oil as an after shower oil, it also has soothing properties.  Good luck.
