  1. my dad put corn syrup in the middle of the back yard or front yard to a track them away from the porch

  2. Most ants do not like talcum powder. . . which is great if you have kids or pets.

They aren't fire ants, are they?

  3. step on them

  4. Most of these fixes are temporary.  You should try to locate the ants nest.  Follow a trail to the nest.  If they are just wandering about put some sugar down, enough that many ants will be necessary to carry it all home.  The follow the trail.  When you find the nest you want to make it uninhabitable You can pour hot soapy water, or small amount of gasoline (do not create a fire hazard) or dig it up if it is in an area that will not damage something.  Ant nests usually are located below some type of water protection, a large underground rock in many cases.  You need to get you liquid below that surface to make the nest uninhabitable.  Or you could simply wear them down by frequently spraying them with soapy water.  I make a spray out of dish soap (3-4 tablespoons in a pint) and eventually they will stop coming.

  5. My husband's grandma always sprinkles chili pepper power or baby powder around the house and NEVER gets ants!

  6. ant spray...

  7. You can use household beach pour it on and there gone.
