  1. There's not really a cure that I know of.  I just know from personal experience that I have to constantly switch out my socks and shoes daily, wear all white cotton socks (diabetic socks), and wash my feet frequently (nightly) and use stuff to keep my feet dry.  Put on clean white socks at night after washing and a fresh pair in the morning.  I am allergic to the dye in colored socks and nylon, so I can't wear panty-hose or dark socks.  They make my feet sweat and itch, thus severe athlete's foot.  Avoid wearing these.  I have to put a Hydrocortizone cream (Cortizone 10) on them when they do itch and break out.  My mom also has the same problem and she recommend getting shoes that allow your feet to "breathe" which don't include wearing shoes made w/all man-made materials.

Just know you're not the only one and I praise you for asking this "embarrasing" question!

Try those tips and see if your situation improves!  Since taking these steps, I've noticed a drastic change in how frequently my feet "break out" and itch.  It's reduced so much that I literally can't remember the last time I had this problem.

  2. p**s on it it works

  3. Change the old insoles in your shoes that may be harboring bacteria. Give your bathtub a good scrubbing with a disinfectant cleaner for bathrooms, and if you have a mat replace it AND the shower curtain. Both the mat and the bottom of your shower curtain grow fungus/molds. Wash your feet often with a antibacterial soap and always wear clean, white, cotton socks. Throw out those old smelly sneakers if you are still wearing them! I don''t know of any other products that work better than Lotromin. There are other over the counter brands you can try. If you try my suggestions and use the antifungal cream and still get no results you may need to see your doctor or a podiatrist for a prescription strength cream. Good luck!

  4. Lotrimin works fine or the generic version sold at Walmart for WAY LESS money...

The best advice is to throw away all old socks and consider replacing your shoes.  It's hard to rid socks and shoes of the fungus even by spraying them with fungus spray.

Keep your feet dry and let air if you wear socks/shoes for long periods of time.

    Good luck!

  5. I've known raw garlic works good but you truly will have stinky feet.lol but it does work.

  6. lotrimin, or any antifungals.. and drying feet very thoroughly after showering, between toes, completely dry.

  7. Don't try over the counter stuff I tried it and made it worse. Use Tea Tree oil. It's the best stuff out there for athletes foot. 1 week and it's done.

  8. Neat Tea Tree Oil really works.  Some old remedies, soaking feet in a mixture of permanganate of potash and water, also soaking feet in Dettol and water.
