How do you get rid of bats in bottom of chimney?

I don't want 2 kill them,but there in my house,but are seperated by a piece of wood that covers the fireplace.We do not use it no longer

Try loud rock music heavy metal. Or try building a fire. More smoke the better. If you build a fire open a door or window just a few inches. This will relieve any negative air pressure in the house. But no need to do this unless you have a cap and screen to put on because they'll just come back.
