  1. Removing Black Mold:

1-Make sure yu are in a well ventilated area.

2-Wear rubber gloves, eye googles, and face mask.

3-Use vacuum cleaner up-holster tools to remove loose(visible to eye) airborne mold spores;vacuum twice:1-horizonally and then 2- virtically.

4- Scrub thouroughly with Borox and warm water;let dry and wipe with a clean sponge and spray with fongicidal coating( protects against future growth).

  2. You simply throw it in the trash.  If this "black mold" is truely S. chartarum, or toxic black mold, it can be fatal, esp. to infants as well as the elderly.  If you really want to chance cleaning the crib, try two ounces of bleach to one gallon of cold water.  Treat the infected area with a moistened paper towel or sponge (disposable), and allow to dry. Repeat two more times.  A lot of times the stained area will remain even after treating the area, sanding or other means of removing the spot will just spread the mold spores around.
