  1. I find fruit fly is usually attracted to ripe fruit or alcohol, i have found them in my compost bin in the garden, A friend of mine has  a food shop and sometimes he finds them around damp wood i.e wooden worktops on top of a sink, that is constantly wet, I would suggest washing the worktops with bleach every night and dry as much of the dampness as he can,or spray with a fly spray , not forgetting to wash the top in the morning if preparing food. better still replace any wood with something better.  Hope this is of some help. Alex

  2. Shoot them with a shotgun.

  3. beef up ventilation / air circulation (fans) they do not like the moving air

  4. If they are in the room close all doors and pull the curtains and switch off the lights (means a dark room),then make a small opening between the curtains of the window and hush the flies with the something like a towel or any other cloth.they will find their way in the light through that opening, and fly fly away.:) umi.

  5. My sister had that problem and she was told to pour bleach down her sinks.  (by her exterminator).   Hope that helps.
