How do you get rid of hiccups caused by medication

my dad just had surgery and his doctor told him the anesthesia causes hiccups. He’s been hiccupping for 3 days now and we want to know if there’s anything out there that can help chemically caused hiccups.

If it has really been three days then call your doctor or take him to the ER, there is a medicine they can give him that will stop the diaphragm from spasming.  Thorazine is the drug commonly used in the ER to treat the hiccups.
