How do you get rid of hypertrophic scarring on an industrial ear piercing?

I got it pierced like last year, but it's still there. I'm using the sea salt soak thing, but is there anyone who has actually done that and been successful? help!!!

try smaller jewelry and cortisone 10 creme... it should help. Others say try tea tree oil.
