  1. Well there are some basic things that can help such as getting a good vitamin, regular exercise and drinking plenty of fluids along with a healthy diet. Other than that, taking up a new hobby or a class at a park district. Volunteer to help others because making new connections with other people does amazing things for you especially when you do something for someone who can't pay you back.

  2. Find something that absorbs you - the sort of thing that when you do it, hours fly by; something that you can look forward to.

  3. Vodka

  4. smoking a little marijuana

  5. running or any kind of excercise helps your brain health.  :-)  good luck!

  6. watch funny movies and tv shows.  Suggestions are anything with Jim Carrey or Adam Sandler, Even Stevens, Malcolm in the Middle, the Simpsons.  All of these are available to watch on the internet if you don't want to go out and buy them.

  7. i am 15 years old and i did magic mushrooms when i was 14

i still feel like my brain is jacked up

i have chronic depression.........playing Xbox live helps a lot

also ..myspace.....try to get out....go watch pineapple express!!!!!!!!

  8. I'm no expert, but I find certain things help, such as exercise, having specific plans for each day and making long term plans to look forward to and aim for, spending time with people that make you happy, watching programmes that make me laugh, making dietry adjustments..

hope this helps a little bit...

  9. I have it too. Here is how it works;

Our brains make chemicals that are our emotions. When we move, i.e. exercise, we make MORE of these chemicals, so we feel O'K... BUT, when we sleep, our metabolism slows way down, the chemicals in our brain drop down, and the next morning - ugh! another day.

Every day I crawl out of bed (who needs this?)... once I regain my balance and wake up, I step up and down on my The Step. 100 steps. The metabolism goes up, the brain chemicals go up, and I feel great!!

During the day, stress, exhaustion, boredom, etc. all occure, and the metabolism stops dropping again. I go into the bathroom at work and start running-in-place. Small steps, counting 1-2-3, etc. with each step down of my right foot. 100 steps total. Moving my arms side to side as I "run". My metabolism goes back up, I feel a rush of energy and positive feelings, and I feel great for a few hours again. I do this 1-minute exercise 1-5 times a day, depending upon how I feel, how my day goes. And doing these aerobic exercises has a plus; whatever you do aerobically will last 1-2 more days. So if you are too busy, you can skip 1-2 days.

    Hope this helps.

  10. new shoes cure the blues!!

  11. If a female, take B12 vitamins....

Any s*x, get lots of sunshine and try to make yourseld eat lots of veg;s and fruit....

Exercise will make your Endorphins (the chemical that your brain secretes to make you happy) soar..HUGS!!!

  12. Go to therapy!

  13. Exercise is by far the best, and has been proved so by many studies.

If you are not athletically strong, even going for a brisk walk can make a lot of difference.

This one is easy to check out for yourself-try it, and see how you feel afterwards.

  14. Watch funny movies, talk with a funny friend. Also laugh when you get mad, instead of getting irrated. Try to view life as a dream..you can make it whatever you want!

  15. i think talking about it and communicating about and listening to people say what they "have to say" is definitly the cause of most depression for me.. stay away from all they.. but i lose my mind when people say **** to me or come around me in general.. but you gotta do what you gotta do.. i have no wherewithal to get rid of all of them.. so i just take it as it is.. stay away if possible.. don't bother telling them to leave you alone.. they won't.. that's as far as i've gotten on this personal battle so far.  it's kind of iffy for now but it will be better.. stay with good mannered people

  16. start working out

  17. Most people face mild depression at some time in their life.  There are many things you can do to help yourself.  Exercise has been shown to relive stress and combat depression.  Also, make sure that you are sleeping regularly and that you are sleeping and waking at the same time.  Also, a lot of people swear by yoga and meditation.  Stay away from alcohol, because it is a depressant and can make you feel more depressed.  Eat three meals a day, but stay away from too much sugar and caffeine.  These can cause moodiness.  I hope this helps.  If it doesn't get any better, talk to your doctor.  I work in the mental health field, and people are often reluctant to discuss depression.  In reality, it is one of the most common and most treatable illnesses.  Don't be embarrased to discuss it with your doctor.

  18. Depression is always a disease, so you should consider seeing some kind of theraphist, it doesn't mean that you'll get dependant or happy pills or something like that :P

But walking, being out in the sunshine and eating heatly makes you feel better (:

  19. Well smoking and drinking are not going to help you any.  These only push the problems aside....believe me I know.  Moderate exercises do help.  They clear your brain.  Eating good, will even help you.  And when you have problems, try to take care of them as soon as possible.  As long as your depression is not very strong, DO NOT get on any meds.  They will just potentially take over and control you.  Good luck!
