The moss is very bad and it just keeps growing. We have tried bleach and much more but nothing will help it seems like its getting worse. we are having people over and we would really like it gone in at least three days tops. We need a fact acting solution to kill moss.

  1. I think you mean algae in the water, rite?

Moss is what grows in trees and looks like an old man's gray beard.

If it is algae your speaking of, the bleach is good just like a swimming pool needs chlorine to kill it. However you will need to brush the walls of the fountain (stiff bristle brush) and somehow filter the water or completely drain it, rite after you have brushed the walls. The algae needs to be REMOVED. After it's removed and rinsed out you can refill it and add half gallon of bleach each week to maintain algae free operation.

    Good Luck,  ;-)

  2. Personaly i would use some pool alegcide, this will get rid and prevent the algea in your fountain from coming back, also make sure you maintain the cleaning and replacing of water in your fountain. Good luck! (one other thing you can do is buy a fountain filter pump)

  3. Try this site it has a lot of information for removal of algae, http://www.worldofwater.com/algae_proble... but if it is moss (growing on the outside of the fountain not in the water) then vineagar and a scrubbing brush will get rid of moss.
