How do you get rid of subtitles?

For Time Warner Cable... If anyone can tell me how to do it step-by-step, I'd really appreciate it.

  1. on your remote there should be a button that says subtitle press it until it says subtitle off on your tv


  2. click the display button

    otherwise,

    go to menu, captions

    , turn cc1 to off

  3. There should be a subtitle button but it may be marked CC (for Closed Captioning) just keep hitting it until it says OFF.

  4. It's a setting in your TV, not from your cable provider. Just go into the TV's menu options and look for closed captioning to turn it off.

  5. If there is a SUBTITLE button on your remote control, just press that.

    If not, call the cable company and ask them. Someone will know.
