  1. Drink less caffeine--everything in moderation.  Get caffeine free sodas too.

  2. I would suggest weaning yourself off slowly by consuming a little less each day.

If you experience headaches it would be well worth it to get off the caffeine. I have a friend that has a caffeine addiction and she has to get up in the middle of the night and drink a small amount of coffee to prevent the inevitable headaches.

I don't know why she doesn't do the same, other than she refuses to give up coffee.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Just do it and take a few Advil or aspirin along the way.  Headaches should last no more than a  day or 2.

  4. Drink iced tea for the caffeine cravings or hot chocolate...

If you are smoking cold turkey, i've found that chewing gum and doing something productive with your hands helps! (thats experience speaking there!!)

I would go outside adn throw ball or learn to cook a new thing or even knitting/crochet or doing a constructive project (build a picnic table) really relieves that stress. and you feel better too!! Oh. and try not to drink alcohol. cuz holding a beer makes you feel as if you HAVE to have a cigarette in your hands.

  5. Best wishes!!!  I gave up pop during Lent.  While I do drink it occasionally, I am not drinking pop all day every day.  My headaches were like nothing I have ever had before.  I found  a natural tea at the Meijer store.  It is not with the instant teas, look in the health supplements aisle by the pharmacy.  It says on the box for headaches.  I used this and if all else failed Excedrine Migraine worked for me.
