How do you get rid of the excess string on a lacrosse stick?

  1. use a flame to burn it off.


  2. don't just burn it.

    you should cut the excess off first, but be sure to leave enough so you could untie and retie it if you need to.

    then burn the tip so it doesn't fray.

  3. I play women's lacrosse. I tie the strings at the bottom of my stick into a tight little knot ball. It works great. When you cradle the knots shouldn't spin or slip out of place. I wouldn't recomend cutting or burning the strings off; you might want to string your stick differently someday, and they you won't have any string. Hope this helps.
