How do you get rid of the fishy taste on certain fish ?

  1. Fresh fish shouldn't have a fishy taste, or smell.  If it smells too fishy, take it back to the store.   I wash it off well before I marinate it, or brush with olive oil and fresh herbs


  2. marinate it in febreeze for two days before you eat it  

  3. Soak it in salt water for an hour or so, then soak it in plain water for 2-3 hours. Restaurants do this for cod.

    2.  select species that are not fishy.  Halibut, cod, red snapper, amberjack, and trout are traditionally very mild.  Salmon, tilapia, flounder, tuna, and swordfish are usually more "aromatic" in the fishy department.
