  1. Next time you will remember to put on plastic gloves.  Use a wooden stick to push the material into the bath of dye.

  2. You can use Lava brand soap, it is a strong pumice soap that gets most stuff off.

  3. very good question!! we are planning our annual tie dye day tomorrow and I dread the stained hands.

    I tried Goop last year

  4. CLR,is the only thing to clean this off ..... but it's not pretty I used this and my hand was chap really bad,..also bleach, peroxide, and vinegar,..they all work and they are all hard on the hands,so take your pick and get started, sometimes I use more than one on my hand, and sometimes it work's other times it don't...try tide with bleach first...please do not use lime,or lemon..cause this helps the color to sink in and stay on......good luck.

  5. It will go away in a day or two by itself.

If you had bothered to wear some rubber gloves, you would not have the stains.

In the meantime, you could tell people that you are an alien from another planet, and that you have not completely metamorphosed yet.

Seriously however, without knowing the dye you were using to do this, it would be a process of 'trial and error'.

I would probably start with a drop of bleach in the palm of my hand and see if there was any leaching of the dye after a minute.

After rinsing your hand, you will probably see a spot which looks closer to your normal skin color.

The only problem is that you do not want to place your hands in a concentrated bleach, since it will dry all of the natural oils out of your skin and lead to massive chaffing of the skin.

This would look far worse, and possibly painful, or uncomfortable for a few days.

Otherwise you could try some vinegar.

It will still tend to leach oils out of you skin, but not quite as bad.
