How do you get rid of tiny leeches from lakes?

wre discovered them while wading in shallow water at the lake, tiny, like a grain of sand almost. they rub off with a towel, but is there a way to get rid of them without harming the fish???

  1. Why? Leaches are some of the best food for fish.Ask your local bait shop or  any Quality bait shop.

    You might want to think about raising them for extra money. a win ,win situation.Fat fish, fat wallet. Just tring to give you the best of both worlds.

    How to catch some to sell:

    put a piece of bloody steak in a onion bag,

    tie off end and tie to a long string cast into lake .

    let set over night retrieve in morning.leaches here are $3.00 a dozen


  2. I'm not sure how to get rid of tiny ones, but I know that leeches usually hang out where there are lots of rocks, so maybe if you could remove the majority of the rocks you could get rid of the leeches!

  3. A better question would be can you get rid of them without harming the food chain in the lake? Ask the wildlife biologist at your fish & game headquarters. He should be able to give you more information.

  4. you don't - the fish eat them.... you can get them off of you with salt - yes regular table salt.
