How do you get rid of viruses?

Question

Does anyone know how to get rid of trojan:win32/vundo!P virus? Thats how its showinig up on my virus scan. I've done like 5 or 6 spyware scans and atleast 20 virus scans and they all pick it up and when I tell it to delete it it says "unable to remove" or "unable to delete". Someone please help. This thing is destroying my computer.

One important thing is the fact that you should completely update the Operating System and ALL of the patches.  If your machine is patched for the vulnerability on the HD, then YOU cannot get infected.  It is the more proactive approach (patching your machine, keeping your software updated, using the most current firmware and drivers).  AV is ALWAYS reactive!

I suggest you try Avast antiviurs. Download it by searching it in google. Update the virus database and scan your pc. If it still does not remove it start your pc in safe mode and scan it again then it should get rid of it. If that does not work schedule a boot time scan.
