How do you get sand out of the wax on your surfboard?

Its like sandpaper. Do you have to take all the wax off? How do you do that?

Put you board in the sun for a few minutes to soften the wax. Use an old credit card to scrape off the old wax. It's pretty much inevitable that you'll get some sand in the wax again.

melt it off with a hair dryer or fan heater..

In response to the first persons answer don't melt your wax with a hair dryer. This is the worse thing you could do. The extreme heat cause the foam to separate from the glass and then your board will start to delaminate.

What you want to do is set your board in the su for about 5-10min. After that get a wax comb and use the side without the  teeth and start scraping the wax.
