How do you get scratches out of a wood floor?

We have scratches on the wood floor and we need to fix it. How do we do that? I hope someone can help us.

  1. go and buy a stain pen and use it on your floor.


  2. How you tackle this depends on how extensive and how deep the scratches are. If the problem is minor you may be able to conceal the damage with a color stick--check with a hardwood flooring retailer to see what they recommend.

    If the scratching is widespread you might have to screen the floor. This is a process in which the floor finish is removed without removing any of the wood (a floor sander actually removes a portion of the wood). Once the floor has been screened it can be refinished.
