My sister got some on the floor in the kitchen and we don't know how to get it out. I want to just get a bottle or two of something that will clean it out, not hire some guys to refinish the floors.

  1. You can try and use an oil base such as petroleum jelly on it when you clean. If wood cleaning products and that does not work, sand and refinish the one area where the permanent marker was used yourself, it's really not that hard at all. The hardest part would be matching your tarnish. Don't use nail polish remover on your finished floors! Too much can strip it or you can have a small blotchy look in that area.

  2. Well, you can always try scrubbing.  I use windex with bleach to get my stains out.  I am not sure it will work with your floor though.  Don't blame me if it totally ruins your floor.

  3. Rub some nail-polish remover into it.

  4. javex bleach and random nail polish remover or that Mr. Clean magic eraser it works!

  5. nail polish remover

  6. nail polish remover.

  7. Alcohol  will get it out .

  8. WD40 and a tooth brush

  9. you can use witch hazel, it won't strip the varnish or gasoline, gas might strip it a little bit but only if you wipe it off, trying using a spray bottle first, spray a little wait 3 seconds do it again deending on how big the stain is.

  10. I know this will sound weird but I have been a nanny for years and worked at a daycare so I know all the tricks. You can use lysol, windex, or shaving cream. But, lysol is the only one that I know will definilty always work. Spray the lysol directly on the spot on the wood floor. Leave it for like 30 seconds and then wipe away with a paper towel.
