How do you get shorter prison time?

a friend of mine is in jail and i want to know what she can do to shorten that time so i can see her sooner.

Good Luck with that one!  Besides they put her there for a reason.  Not to punish you, to punish her.  And to remind everyone whatever she did was a NO NO.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Really, she has to be a model prisoner, not talk back, not fight and to do everything the guards tell her to do immediately. And she has to show she was genuinely sorry for what she did and if she needs it, to ask for whatever counseling she will need to avoid re-offending. And this may get her a little time off. But not a lot.

Remember this is an election year and no politician wants to be seen as soft on crime. Thus, the parole boards are going to be super, super tough this year.
