How do you get sleep on a Greyhound bus?

  2. I don't think there is a sure fire way, I spent 36 hours on one this past fall, and I think the most sleep I got was an hour nap every couple hours. You might luck out and get a bus that is not to crowded, and then you can use both seats. I wasn't that lucky, I went from Georgetown, South Carolina to Huntsville, Texas. With exception of the leg of the trip from Georgetown to Savannah, Georgia and from Houston, Texas to Huntsville the bus was packed. I ended up putting my carry on bag on my lap longways and then folding my arms and putting my head down. It wasn't the most comfortable sleep, but the trip was totally worth it in the end.

  3. Having a travel pillow helps and try to sit by the window that way you have a place to rest your head.
