How do you get songs from a mix cd to your ipod?

My friend made a mix cd of songs for me, but i don't know how to transfer it onto my ipod. when i have the cd in my computer and my ipod hooked up, the cd shows up as an icon on itunes but i can't get the actuall songs to my ipod's library. can anyone help pleaseee?

I use Musicmatch program to transfer what I want from any CD to any portable device. you can search the internet for Musicmatch and down load free.

You have to click on "import" then move the songs to a playlist and THEN sync the iPod
