How do you get stains out of a hardwood floor?

  1. if they are surface stains, sanding will get the out, but it is rather messy, but worth it isn the end.  there is also bleaching products for wood that can help lighten stains.  if you cannot get ret of it after using a couple of methods, faux grain the area.  it is the simple method to cover up wood stains.  good luck


  2. You'll want to be careful with sanding unless you know how thick your floors are.  The really thin ones will disfigure beyond repair as they are never meant to be sanded.

    Have you tried Murphy's Oil Soap?  If that doesn't work, you might check with a flooring company for their best product to try.  If that fails, you can use a wood staining stick that is similar in color or create a graining look as mentioned above.
