How do you get stains out of taffeta?

Soak overnight in tepid water with a mild detergent as well as a small amount of washing soda.

Rinse in tepid water.

Soak at least 10 minutes in fabric softener/conditioner.

Taffeta is not an easy fabric to wash.

I suggest you make a little bowl of warm water and dish washing liquid, dip a sponge in the soapy mixture and rub the stains with it.

Then soak the item in cool water for about an hour.  Wash and rinse then hang to drip dry - perhaps over a shower bar.  When the fabric is still a bit damp then iron all the wrinkles out.
