  1. this is how my mum and i both got into the industry.. :)

obviously you have to be a good drawer etc... if your ok, it may be a good idea to take some art classes to get some good skills going..

pretty much you need to just go into a tattoo shop and ask whether they do apprenticeships.. many places do, but others dont..

you will have an artist with a lot of experience teaching u how to draw specific things, where to place them, and how to actually tattoo.

at first your gonna be just the mop person, who gets equipment etc for the artist, but its good experience..

once you have found a place that will take you on, you need to contact your local apprenticeships centre and register so you will be listed and entitled to benefits. :)

  2. You need to get an apprenticeship at a tattoo studio. This is basically your "classes" from becoming a tattoo artist. A senior artist will take you under his or her wing and show you the ropes. They will give you art assignments to do and let you practice with small tattoos on a few clients or practice on yourself. Once you complete their apprenticeship, the shop will generally hire you as a resident artist.

  3. you should go to a local shop ask questions about how the artists got to where they did, also you need an apprenticeship which means you will need to ask an artist to take you under their wing...you will also need a portfolio of what you draw and your line skills..the best thing you can do is just practice drawing maybe take some drawing classes..well i hope this helps good luck
