  1. Go to each of the credit bureaus websites:

    Experian

    Equifax

    Transunion

There are link that you can choose to dispute the information.

Just note that you need a "credit report number" in order to dispute it. If you don't have one - get your free credit report from all three credit bureaus at www.annualcreditreport.com.

If you already checked them this year, hopefully you printed them out or have some sort of way to get to your report number. That is an important necessity in disputing.

  2. contact them and dispute it

  3. Every credit bearu has dispute procedures. Go to their websites and follow them.

  4. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act you have the right to request written validation of negative entries on your credit files. Per this law they must validate the item(s) or remove them from your credit file.

Mail a letter via certified mail with return receipt to all three credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion & Experian). Include a photocopy of your driver's license and social security card...If you don't include these, they may write back requesting them, which would slow the process down by several weeks. In your letter, simply state:

Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I am requesting written validation of this item.

    --------------------------------------...

Do this one at a time for each negative entry....DO NOT request validation for all items all at the same time.

They must either validate the item(s) or remove it....Note: the entire process might take at 1-2 months...it's never fast....

  5. go to the website of each respective Credit Reporting Agency (CRA).  There, you will find the dispute procedures.

Personally, I recommend mailing the letters in (certified mail preferably) so you have a written history.  This is because sometimes the problem is not fixed right away, and you want to be able to reference previous attempts to correct the problem.

Just let them know that entry x*x is wrong because XXXX and to delete the entry.  Hopefully, they will do the right thing and on your first attempt, delete the erroneous information.  Good luck!

  6. Contact the credit bureau...Equifax/TransUnion and talk to them about it.

  7. i searched google and found a cool site to get free credit score

    you can check the same
