How do you get the facebook chat?

How do you get the facebook chat that shows you who is online on the bottom of your screen and lets you chat with them?

I think that you automatically get the Facebook chat, but you wouldn't be asking this question if that happened. Maybe doing a few things like the following with help you:

1) Try installing the latest version of Java

2) If you have any Ad block on, turn it off for the site

3) Install the latest version of Flash

4) On the bottom of your Facebook page, you may notice the icon for notifications. Right next to it, you may see a book-like icon next to it. If you hover over it, it will say "pop-in chat." Click on that and your chat application will be normal.

where it says online friends on the bottom well you just click on that and the person or people that are online you just click on the person you want to chat with and a box should pop where you can start typing . that's what i do and it works
