How do you get the gas supplier when you move in to a new address?

Previous tenant absconded, don't know gas supplier.

  1. Telephone British Gas and ask them if they are the supplier - even if they are not the supplier, they should be able to tell you who the current supplier is.

    Alternatively, just select the gas supplier you want and sign up with them. They will sort it out from there.

    Make sure you take meter readings of all utilities when you move in. Take a photo on your mobile phone if you can - that will help to prove your meter readings are correct.


  2. Ask landlord? Or ask city clerk office.
