  1. Upload a picture to your Yahoo 360 profile and make it your "primary" picture. Come back to your Yahoo Answers profile and choose the option where it says "Use your 360 picture as your avatar."

  2. You need a 360 page to do this..

go to this link to set up your page if you don't have one yet

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/

after you get the 360 page do this...

Go to top of any of your 360 pages and you see the tool bar there..  choose your MY PAGE..

Look  above your id picture  there is  the option Edit Personal Photos.. click it

On the page that comes up click the browse option in any of the bottom three slots.. do not try to use the first one.. it does not work.

It will open a popup to your MY PICTURES file and choose a photo that is the jpg file format and not over 5 MB in size.

Go to the bottom of the page and click SAVE.

It will take you back to your MY PAGE where you click the Edit Personal Photos option once more and beside your uploaded picture or under it will be an option that says Primary ... click it and once again go to the bottom of the page and save it..

After you do this come back to you Answers Profile and click onto edit my profile..

on the page that comes up choose from the options there to Use My 360 Id Photo as My Answers Profile Photo.

click save at the bottom of the page and you have done it.

  3. You can have an avatar (cartoon character) or a photo/image:

    AVATAR:

Go to http://avatars.yahoo.com and sign in (if you're not already signed into a Yahoo service). You can make an avatar image there. If you need help with making the avatar, follow instructions at http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/avatars... Your avatar is currently a grayed out man/woman because it's the default image. Make sure that you click the orange "Save Changes" button below your Avatar preview window before leaving the site!

Then, click "My Profile" to the upper right of most Yahoo! Answers pages, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Choose your avatar in the pic section. Click Preview and then the OK button.

    IMAGE:

First, create a 360 space at http://360.yahoo.com . While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page.

After that, you can log in by by clicking on the teeny tiny "Sign-in" button on the upper left of the page. Then, the page refreshes and click on the teeny tiny "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 space.

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Make sure to use the same Yahoo ID for Yahoo! Answers as you do in Yahoo! 360. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button. Then, WAIT.

NOTE: The image may not show up right away in Y/A, as it sometimes take days for the system to catch up. So, in the meantime, you will be without any picture on Y/A (blank, grayed out, messed up...whatever you want to call it). Just go through the above process and let your picture stay that way until the system makes your 360 image appear.
