  1. 9, 25, 26, 27, 27, 30, 31, 50

Outliers: A number or numbers that are significantly different from the rest of the group. There is no scientific formula for identifying outliers. It is primarily a subjective observation.

    Here, 9 and 50

Mean (aka Average): All numbers added together, divided by the amount of numbers in set.

    175 divided by 8 = 21.87

Midrange: Max number of set plus minimum number of set divided by 2.

    59 divided by 2 = 29.5

    Median: Middle number.

In this case, 27. If there are an odd amount of numbers in the set it is the middle number. If there are an even amount, the two middle most numbers are added together and divided by two (which gives us 27 because 27+27 / 2 = 27). Another example: If the numbers were 9, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, 31, 50, you would add 27 + 28 and divide them by 2 for a median of 27.5.

    Mode: The most occuring number.

    Here, 27.
